• 파기방법: 전자적 파일형태로 저장된 개인정보는 기록을 재생할 수 없는 기술적 방법을 사용하여 삭제합니다. 종이에 출력된 개인정보는 분쇄기로 분쇄하거나 소각을 통하여 파기합니다.

6. 사용자의 권리 및 행사방법

사용자는 언제든지 자신의 댓글을 수정하거나 삭제할 수 있습니다 (댓글 작성 시 설정한 비밀번호 필요).

This Privacy Policy applies to all services provided by Replycation, including mobile applications, websites, browser extensions, bookmarklets, and others (collectively, the "Services"). Replycation values your privacy and complies with relevant laws and regulations, including the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. This Privacy Policy informs you of the purposes and methods by which the personal information you provide is used and what measures are being taken to protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

Replycation may collect the following information to provide the Services:

• Information you provide directly:
  • When writing comments: Comment content, author name (optional), password for editing/deleting comments (stored one-way hashed upon input).
• Information automatically generated or collected during your use of the Services:
  • Anonymous User Identifier (`anonId`): A unique ID is generated to anonymously manage your comments and votes. This ID may be stored on your device (SharedPreferences for mobile apps) or in your browser's storage (e.g., Local Storage, chrome.storage.local for browser extensions and web services) or cookies.
  • Web Page Information for Services: The URL and title of the web page where you write comments or use the Services. This information is collected to correctly link and display comment functionality on the respective page (collected when using the in-app WebView in the mobile app, bookmarklet, or Chrome extension).
  • Browser and Device Information: Your browser's language settings (used by bookmarklets and Chrome extensions for initial UI language settings), and device information for mobile apps (e.g., OS version, for service improvement purposes).
  • IP Address: May be automatically collected by our backend service provider (Supabase) for service operation, security, abuse prevention, and service improvement.
  • Service Usage Data, Access Logs, Cookies: May be collected for service usage statistics, error resolution, and user experience improvement (when using the in-app WebView in the mobile app, visiting the website, or using the Replycation iframe interface loaded via Chrome extensions and bookmarklets).
• Chrome Extension Settings Information:
  • If you change settings in the Chrome extension, values such as UI opacity, panel minimization state, selected language, panel size and position, and permanent closure status are stored in your browser's local storage (`chrome.storage.local`) for your convenience. This information is not used to directly identify you.
• Mobile App Bookmarks and Homepage Settings:
  • URLs and names of bookmarks you add (stored locally on your device via SharedPreferences in the app).
  • Homepage URL you set (stored locally on your device via SharedPreferences in the app).
• When Sharing URLs from External Apps to the Mobile App:
  • The URL shared to the app (processed to open in the in-app browser or provide comment functionality).

2. How We Use Your Information

Replycation uses the collected information for the following purposes:

• Providing comment functionality: Writing, displaying, editing, deleting comments, and operating related services.
• User identification and management: Distinguishing users through the Anonymous User Identifier (`anonId`) and managing comment and voting activities.
• Preventing duplicate votes: Ensuring fairness in the comment like/dislike feature.
• Service integration: Integrating and correctly displaying comment functionality on the web page you are viewing (via bookmarklet, Chrome extension, in-app WebView in mobile app).
• Storing and applying user custom settings: Storing Chrome extension UI settings (opacity, size, position, etc.), language settings, etc., to provide the same environment upon next execution, thereby enhancing user convenience.
• Providing mobile app features: Bookmark and homepage functionality, processing shared URLs.
• Service improvement and new service development: Analyzing user experience, statistical analysis (using anonymized or aggregated data), error resolution.
• Maintaining security and service stability: Preventing fraudulent use, sanctioning violations of service terms.
• Complying with legal obligations and resolving disputes.

3. Information Sharing and Third Parties

Replycation, in principle, does not share or provide users' personal information to external parties. However, the following cases are exceptions:

• Backend Service Provider (Supabase): We use Supabase services to provide core functionalities of the Services (e.g., comment database, anonymous user identifier management). In this process, information such as comment content, `anonId`, hashed passwords, and the URL/title of the commented page may be stored and processed on Supabase servers. • Advertising Provider (Google AdSense): Some Replycation pages may display ads via Google AdSense. In that process, Google and its partners may use cookies (or similar technologies) and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, and to provide interest-based advertising. Replycation does not provide user-entered content (such as comment text or passwords) to Google AdSense for ad serving. Google’s policies apply to information collected by Google. • Hosting / Delivery Infrastructure (e.g., Vercel / Cloudflare): Replycation may use third-party infrastructure providers for hosting/deployment (e.g., Vercel) and domain/DNS, security, and delivery optimization (e.g., Cloudflare). These providers may process limited technical data such as IP address, request headers, and error logs strictly for service delivery, security, and stability purposes.
• When required by law, or when requested by investigative agencies according to procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes.
• When the user has given prior consent.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

In principle, users' personal information is destroyed without delay once the purpose of its collection and use has been achieved. However, the following information is retained for the specified period for the reasons below:

• Comments and related information: May be retained until deleted by the user or the service is terminated. Comments with replies may be displayed as "Deleted comment" or similar upon deletion.
• Anonymous User Identifier (`anonId`): Maintained while the user uses the service. It is deleted when the mobile app is deleted or app data is cleared, or for web/extensions, when browser cookies/local storage are cleared or if a feature is provided for the user to reset the ID.
• Chrome Extension settings information: Stored in the browser's local storage while the user uses the extension or maintains the settings, and deleted when the extension is removed.
• Mobile app bookmarks, homepage settings, language preferences: Deleted when the user manually deletes them or clears app data.
• Information retention according to legal requirements: If it is necessary to preserve information according to the provisions of relevant laws, Replycation stores member information for a certain period prescribed by the relevant laws.

5. Personal Information Destruction Procedures and Methods

In principle, Replycation destroys the information without delay after the purposes of collecting and using personal information have been achieved. The destruction procedures and methods are as follows:

• Destruction Procedure: Information entered by the user is transferred to a separate DB (or separate filing cabinet in case of paper) after the purpose is achieved and stored for a certain period according to internal policies and other relevant laws and regulations for information protection reasons (refer to retention and use period), after which it is destroyed. Personal information transferred to a separate DB is not used for any other purpose unless required by law.
• Destruction Method: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using a technical method that cannot reproduce the record. Personal information printed on paper is shredded with a shredder or destroyed through incineration.

6. User Rights and How to Exercise Them

Users can edit or delete their own comments at any time (requires the password set when writing the comment).

The Anonymous User Identifier (`anonId`) and locally stored settings (e.g., mobile app bookmarks/homepage, extension UI settings) can be reset by users by deleting mobile app data, reinstalling the app, or by deleting browser cookies/local storage, or by deleting/reinstalling the extension.

Replycation guarantees users' rights related to their personal information (such as rights to access, rectify/delete, suspend processing) in accordance with the Information and Communications Network Act, Personal Information Protection Act, and other relevant laws. Rights can be exercised by contacting Replycation, and Replycation will take action without delay.

7. Installation, Operation, and Refusal of Automatic Personal Information Collection Devices

Replycation may use 'cookies', browser 'Local Storage', or 'chrome.storage.local' (for Chrome extensions) to provide personalized and customized services. This is to help provide more convenient service use by storing the Anonymous User Identifier (`anonId`) or remembering user service usage patterns and preferences (e.g., Chrome extension UI settings, language settings).

Ad cookies (AdSense): If Google AdSense ads are displayed on Replycation, Google may use cookies (or similar technologies) to serve and measure ads. External websites (WebView/iframe): Websites you open inside WebView (iframe) may use their own cookies and tracking technologies. Their own privacy policies apply, and Replycation does not control how those third-party sites collect or use your data.

Users have the option to install cookies. By setting options in their web browser, users can allow all cookies, confirm each time a cookie is stored, or refuse to store all cookies. However, if you refuse to store cookies, you may experience difficulties in using the service.

For Chrome extensions, setting values stored in `chrome.storage.local` may be necessary for the normal operation of extension features, and users can stop using this stored information by disabling or deleting the extension.

When visiting websites through the in-app WebView in the mobile app, those websites may use cookies. Cookie and cache management for the WebView can be controlled through specific app features (e.g., clear cache in settings menu) or device settings.

8. Technical and Administrative Measures for Personal Information Protection

In handling users' personal information, Replycation takes the following technical and administrative measures to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, altered, or damaged:

• Password Encryption: Comment passwords are encrypted one-way for storage and management.
• Communication Security: Encrypted connections (HTTPS) are used for service data transmission.
• Access Control: Access to the personal information processing system is minimized, records of granting, changing, or revoking access rights are kept, and these records are stored for at least 5 years.
• Malicious Program Prevention: Security programs such as anti-virus software to prevent and treat malicious programs are installed and operated, and are regularly updated and checked.
• Others: Minimizing the handling of personal information and conducting personal information protection training.

9. Children's Privacy

Replycation does not collect personal information from children under the age of 14. If it is confirmed that personal information from a child has been provided, Replycation will delete such information immediately.
